THE 8 MOST IMPORTANT EVENTS OF THE 20TH CENTURY

The 20TH century started in the year 1901 and finished in the year 2000; it was a century in which advances of all type were given, technological, scientific and political. The century saw a major shift in the way that vast numbers of people lived, as a result of changes in politics, ideology, economics, society, culture, science, technology, and medicine. In the following exhibition I will try to extract the five more important events of this time.

ATTACK TO THE TWIN TOWERS OF THE NEWYORK ON SEPTEMBER 11 TH 2001 (IT COMMONLY 9/11):

In this days a series of suicide bombings happened; tour planes were hijacked by 19 network members of Al – Qaida.

Thet dicvided into tour proups of hijackers; the first two planes were the 11 of american airlines and 175 of the united airlines, that planes were dashed against the twin towers of the World trede center.

The third plane was the 77 of american airlines, tht once dashed against the pentagano in virginia, finally the forth plane was the 93 of united airlines, tha one, did not reach any objetive, but ij dashed in an open filed on Shanksville pensilvania.

In this event 2.992 people died.

THE FALL OF THE BERLIN WALL (1989):

was a concrete barrier built by the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) separating it from East Germany, their existence goes from 1961 to 1989; around 5,000 people attempted to escape over the wall, It is believed that they died around some 200 people.

For the implications that the wall ended up having, it was denominated by some people like: "Wall of Shame"

MAN AMUE TO THE MOON:

On 16 th july 1969 the united states send the spatial mision apolo 11, the first it manned that arrived to moon´s surface the crew was formed by Neil Armstron he was 38 years old and Edwin E aldrin Jr he was 39 years old, he was a pilot and neilm was a commander, he was the first human walked on the moon´s surface, more exactly on “mare tranquilitatis” on 21 th july 1969.

This event wsa forwarded planet on 24 th july , astrnauts landed on pacific´s ocean waters. And mision went to the end.

ATOMIC BOMB OF NAGASAKI:

It happened in august 9 th 1945, it meant the end of the second World war

This nuclear assault were amanged by Harry Truman, united states president, against the Japan empire, the first atomic bomb “ little boy” were putted on Hiroshima on Monday 6 th augudt 1945, and second detonation were on Thursday 9 th august the same year, the bomb¨s name were “fatman” on Nagasaki , this assault are the only nuclear attacks of the history.

This bombs killed around 140.000 people in Hiroshima and 80.000 in nagasaki.

Alter this event the japan´s empire advertise its surrender.

THE SECOND WORLD WAR (1939 – 1945):

was a global military conflict which involved most of the world's nations; this war was organized into two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. It was the deadliest conflict in human history with over sixty millions of dead.

This war start in 1 September 1939 with the German invasion of Poland and the later declaration of Guerra from Great Britain and France, other reasons was the Japanese invasion to China.

The war ended with the victory of the Allies in 1945, leaving a change in the world political structure.

NAZI HOLOCAUST:

On the concentration field of Dachau , Alemania; Holocaust means “sacrifice by fire”.

The holocaust was the chase and the muder of about 6 millons jewish people by nazi govermentand tis collaborators .

The nazis went to the power in germany in january 1933. They thougth that they were a “ better race” and that the jewish were lowers, too, other reces were chased, for their lower condition, with the romanies, disables and any slave twon ( Polish and Russia ), others groups were chased by ideological diferrents.

In 1945 germans had murdered almost every jewish around 6 millions, but this event includes others victims, with 200 mil disableds , 2 or 3 millons of soviet POWs , too, manyo f these people died asa result of the incarceration and mistreatment.

THE DISCOVERY OF THE PENICILLIN (1928):

Penicillin is one of the earliest discovered and widely used antibiotic agents, derived from the Penicillium mold; but, what are the antibiotics? The expert say what are natural substances that are released by bacteria and fungi into the their environment, as a means of inhibiting other organisms.

Is important says what the use of penicillin did not begin until the 1940s when Howard Florey and Ernst Chain isolated the active ingredient and developed a powdery form of the medicine.

THE THEORY OF THE SPECIAL RELATIVITY IS PUBLISHED (1905):

Special relativity is a theory of the structure of space - time, this theory was created by Albert Einstain. Special relativity is based on two postulates:

The laws of physics are the same for all observers in uniform motion relative to one another (principle of relativity).

The speed of light in a vacuum is the same for all observers, regardless of their relative motion or of the motion of the source of the light.

These postulates are initially contradictory for the classical mechanics. he defining feature of special relativity is the replacement of the Galilean transformations of classical mechanics by the Lorentz transformations.
